Submissions of entries are invited from students in the age group of 7 to 18 years for the Childnet International Film Competition 2024.
About the Organizer
Childnet International is a registered UK charity that aims to make the internet a safe place for children and young people.
About the Competiton
Calling all teachers and educators working with young people outside the UK! Do you know any young people aged 7-18 who are passionate about film? Can they tell a good story, create animation, or inspire positive change? Then theyβd love to invite you to support the young people you work with to make a short film about online safety for the Childnet International Film Competition 2024!
Theyβre looking for films made by young people that inspire their friends and others to create positive changes in online spaces! If theyβve got something original to say about creating a better and safer internet, then theyβd love to know about it! Remember films should be both entertaining and educational. Since 2010, thousands of young people aged 7-18 and hundreds of schools and youth organizations across the UK have entered the Childnet Film Competition, creating films to help other young people stay safe online.
This competition provides a platform for young people to tell their stories and be heard in spaces they canβt usually access. Over the years, schools and youth groups have won DSLR cameras, tripods, and filmmaking equipment in short everything young people need to keep making great films! Finalists will be invited to the awards ceremony in Central London and the past have met some prestigious judges from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), BBC, and Disney!
