About National Law Olympiad
The National Law Olympiad is honored to have the guidance and support of esteemed legal consultants, distinguished lawyers, renowned academicians, and esteemed judges. Their expertise and mentorship shape the competition’s rigor and relevance, ensuring that participants engage with real-world legal challenges.
The National Law Olympiad is a unique competition designed to help students from Classes 9 to 12 learn about laws that impact their daily lives, including cyber laws, consumer rights, and fundamental rights, while competing for prizes and recognition.
Eligibility
Students from Classes 9 to 12 can participate. They will be categorized into:
- Primer Group – For students of Classes 9 and 10
- Capstone Group – For students of Classes 11 and 12
Competition Structure
The competition is conducted in three stages:
- School-Level Round – An online/offline quiz to test basic legal knowledge (Top 2 students from each class qualify).
- Regional Round – Includes workshops, group discussions, and case-solving activities with law experts.
- National Round – A Moot Court Challenge where students argue real legal cases, and the best performer earns the title of “India’s First School Barrister.”
Topics
Students will learn about:
- Cyber laws & online safety
- Consumer rights & fraud protection
- Fundamental rights under the Constitution
- Handling legal situations like bullying, fraud, and unfair treatment
