About Indian Talent Olympiad
Indian Talent Olympiad was established in 2012 by leading academicians & scientists of the country, with the objectives of identifying and nurturing student talent leading to improved academic performance.

About the National Essay Olympiad
Essay writing is an art in itself. It requires impeccable knowledge of the subject, mastery of the English language, excellent sentence structure, and a decent vocabulary to write a good essay. National Essay Olympiad (NESO) is for those students who have all of these traits in them.
This exam is open for students from Class 1 to Class 10. The subject differs from mainstream subjects such as Mathematics, Science, General Knowledge, English, and Computers. It allows students to test their language skills. It encourages story-telling thus making it more interesting.
Students must be well-versed in topics on which they attempt essay writing.
How to Participate?
- Schools can contact the officials of the Indian Talent Olympiad (ITO) to participate in Essay Writing. Exam pattern is shared with participating schools that are further communicated to all students.
- National Essay Olympiad (NESO) is conducted on a National level.
- Essay Topics are given on-the-spot depending on the level and grade the student is studying. General topics about current affairs or our surroundings are usually preferred.

Syllabus
Indian Talent Olympiad conducts the National Essay Olympiad or the NESO exam for all students from class 1 to class 10. This exam ensures students build excellent writing capabilities from a young age. It makes them write on a variety of topics as per their class, age and calibre.
Importance is given to the kind of words and phrases used, description, impeccable grammar, idea and overall presentation of the given topic. These topics can be personal experiences, important days and dates, current affairs and so on.
Teachers believe that only when students read about different topics from different sources, they are able to write well in any of the Essay Writing Competitions. Thus, it is very important for them to refer to authentic books that would help them to develop excellent writing skills.
