CBSE in support of Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail (ABFRL) had launched a Sustainability Accelerator Program for students with the aim of accelerating a sustainability mindset in youth and advancing skills for green jobs.

About the Program

Over 3,000 students registered for the first cohort of the program and responding to the overwhelming response received from schools and students, CBSE is organizing the second cohort of the program in May 2023. The 7-day virtual program is designed to enable students to learn about sustainability, build solutions, and get hands-on experience through projects.

Mission

The mission of this Sustainability Accelerator is to:

  • encourage students to be valuable contributors to climate change/action.
  • introduce them to the role of technology in shaping a greener planet.
  • provide top students from the program with an in-person workplace experience and internship in a top corporate campus to learn about the sustainable practices they follow.
  • get them mentored by global leaders to build prototypes that will lead to a sustainable planet and pitch their innovations.

Eligibility Criteria

Students from grades 8 and above are eligible for the program.
