Haryana State Pollution Control Board is organizing a State Level Essay Competition on the theme of ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’ on the occasion of World Environment Day 2023 in coordination with District Administration & Education Department, Haryana.
About the Competition
The competition will be organized at District Level in coordination with District Administration, DEO & Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB). Both Governments, as well as Private Schools students, are invited to participate.

- Maximum Word Limit for the Essay: 700 words
- Duration: 1 Hour
- Venue: PM SHRI Govt. Model Sanskriti Sr. Sec. School, Karnal

Eligibility
The competition is divided into two categories:
- Category for 9 & 10 Students.
- Category for 11 & 12 Students.
Prizes
The Prizes at the District Level & State Levels will be as under:
The Prizes at the District Level for each of both categories of the competition will be as under:
- 1st prize: Rs. 10000
- 2nd prize: Rs. 7500
- 3rd prize: Rs. 5000
The 1st, 2nd & 3rd winners of District Level will be awarded at the District Level function to be organized on June 5, 2023, with the prize cheques or online transfer of prize money.
Out of the 1st, 2nd & 3rd winners of District Level (each in both categories), the State Level 1st, 2nd & 3rd winners will be selected and will be awarded at the State Level function on June 5, 2023, and the Prizes for State Level winner will be as under:
- 1st prize: Rs. 51,000
- 2nd prize: Rs. 31,000
- 3rd prize: Rs. 21,000
How to Submit?
All entries for the competition will be accepted through the concerned DEO and interested schools should submit their list in one go with details of the participant category wise including the name, father name, class, city, and contact no. of all the participants.
