National Commission for Women (NCW), New Delhi in collaboration with MyGov, India is hosting an Essay Writing Competition for Arunima Magazine of NCW.
About the Competition
In pursuance of the National Commission for Women Act, of 1990, the National Commission for Women (NCW) was constituted on January 31, 1992, as a Statutory Body to safeguard and promote the rights and interests of women.
It actively participates while discharging its mandated responsibilities for the development of women through seminars, webinars, consultations, hearings, meetings, and conferences with various Government, Social, and Private Organizations, Stakeholders, the Police Department, and many other organizations, etc.
Taking another step in this direction, the National Commission for Women is publishing an Annual Hindi Magazine βArunimaβ. Ms. Rekha Sharma, Chairperson of, the National Commission for Women decided to include the views of graduate and post-graduate students studying in various colleges/universities on topics related to women to make the magazine multifaceted.
Themes
National Commission for Women in collaboration with MyGov is hosting an Essay Competition for graduate and postgraduate students and inviting them to contribute their opinions on the below-mentioned topics:
- Issues related to women.
- Solution for women-related problems.
- Economic empowerment for women to women entrepreneurs.
- Mental and intellectual development of women.
- Women-led development.
Eligibility Criteria
The competition is open to all College students (graduate & post-graduate) in India Only.
Prizes
- Selected Entries shall be rewarded with a cash prize or item worth Rs. 1500.
- The top entries will be featured in the National Commission for Women’s Annual Hindi Magazine Arunima.

Submission Guidelines
- The language of the submitted Essay should be Hindi and should be typed in Unicode font only.
- The length of the Essay must not exceed 2000 words.
