South Indian Bank is organizing the SIB Ignite Quizathon, a national-level quiz competition for all college students, and is seeking registrations for the same.

About the Competition

This quiz competition ‘SIB Ignite Quizathon’ is conducted to motivate students and promote general knowledge on various subjects. It is conducted to test the knowledge and intelligence of participants. The competition will have questions on various topics such as current affairs, sports, business, technology, art, history, and geography.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The quiz competition is open to all college students.
  • Each participating team consists of two members.
  • All members of a team should belong to the same institution.

Competition Format

Preliminary Round

  • The competition begins with an online preliminary round.
  • This round will be conducted using the Quizizz platform.
  • The preliminary round will consist of a set of multiple-choice questions/interactive questions.
  • Teams will compete online, and the top-scoring teams will proceed to the next round.

Zonal Finals

  • The country is divided into eight zones:
    • Kerala
    • Tamil Nadu & Andhra Pradesh
    • Mumbai Zone (Maharashtra + Goa)
    • Karnataka & Telangana
    • Ahmedabad
    • Delhi I (Delhi & Haryana)
    • Delhi II (UP, Uttarakhand & Punjab)
    • Kolkata (Entire East)
  • Eight teams will be shortlisted for the Zonal Finals.
  • One team from each zone will be selected to represent their respective zone.

Gala Final

  • The Gala Final will feature the eight zone-winning teams.
  • This final round will be conducted in a manner that best suits the grand stage, typically in a physical event.
  • The Gala Final will determine the national champion.

Rules and Guidelines

  • The following rules and guidelines must be strictly followed:
  • All team members must carry valid identification and college ID Card/Letter.
  • Any form of malpractice is strictly prohibited.
  • Teams should respect the quizmaster’s decisions and instructions.
  • A strict timeline for each round and the overall competition will be adhered to.

Prizes

The national champion team who stands first in the quizathon will get a cash prize of Rs. 1,50,000, the runner-up team will get Rs. 1,00,000 and the third-place team will get Rs. 60,000.
