Steel Authority of India Limited in collaboration with MyGov is delighted to announce the upcoming SAIL Story Writing Competition 2025, a platform for you to display your talent and creativity to the world. Regardless of whether you lean towards fiction or non-fiction, this competition welcomes all genres and writing styles. So, sharpen your quill, ignite your laptop, and prepare to unleash your imagination.
This competition aims to unleash creativity, Sharpening Writing Skills, Connecting with SAIL and Showcasing Talent and Recognizing Achievement.

Eligibility
All Indian Citizens can participate in the competition.
Participation Guidelines
The participants must adhere to the following formatting standards:
- Font type: Times New Roman for English and Unicode for Hindi
- Font Size: 12
- Spacing between lines: Double
- Pages to be numbered
- Quotation to be given in italics
- Final number of words must be written at the end
- The word limit of the story writing competition is 800 words. For entries above 800 words, 10% marks shall be deducted
- Stories will be evaluated by a jury of judges

Evaluation Criteria
Creative Writing – 30 Marks
Message for society or humanity – 5 Marks
Flow of storytelling – 6 Marks
Grammar – 4 Marks
Total – 50 Marks
Prizes
- 1st Prize (English & Hindi): ₹10,000
- 2nd Prize (English & Hindi): ₹7,500
- 3rd Prize (English & Hindi): ₹5,000
- 4th Prize (English & Hindi): ₹2,500
- The winning entries may also be published in SAIL’s in-house journal ‘SAIL News’
