The Ministry of Defence in collaboration with MyGov, India is organizing an online quiz competition on Indian Military History from July 26 to August 10, 2023.

About the Ministry of Defence, India

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) is charged with coordinating and supervising all agencies and functions of the government relating directly to national security and the Indian Armed Forces. The President of India is the ceremonial commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the country.

The Ministry of Defence provides policy framework and resources to the armed forces to discharge their responsibility in the context of the defence of the country. The Indian Armed Forces (including the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and Indian Navy) and the Indian Coast Guard under the Ministry of Defence are primarily responsible for ensuring the territorial integrity of India.

About the Quiz

As a part of Independence Day Celebrations 2023, the Ministry of Defence in collaboration with MyGov is organizing an online quiz competition on ‘Indian Military History’ in an effort to instil a sense of patriotism among the youth and masses.

The quiz will be in bilingual format i.e. in Hindi and English. The duration of the quiz will be 5 minutes (300 seconds), during which a maximum of 10 questions can be answered.

Eligibility Criteria

Regardless of age, everyone is encouraged to participate.

Prizes

  • 1st Prize: Rs. 25,000.
  • 2nd Prize: Rs. 15,000.
  • 3rd Prize: Rs. 10,000.
  • Consolation Prizes (Seven): Rs. 5,000 each.
  • All the participants will get an E-certificate.

Important Note

The Ministry of Defence will disburse the winning amount/rewards to the selected winner(s) after publishing the Winner Announcement Blog on MyGov Blog.

The criteria for selection of successful winners will be Maximum Correct Answers in the Shortest Time, subject to the stipulation of 10 questions attempts and 05 minutes.
