About the Women Welfare Department, Uttar Pradesh

The Department of Women and Child Development was established in the year 1989 as a part of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, with a view to accelerating the development of women and children.

For the purpose of empowering women, the full-time Women and Child Development Department were established by the state government in the year 1989 with the objective of bringing women welfare-related programs at the state level.

In the year 2013, the government separated the two departments, the Women and Child Development Nutrition and Women Welfare Department.

About the Contest

The Women’s Welfare Department, Uttar Pradesh wishes to collaborate with MyGov to organise a competition to design a logo.

As part of this campaign, they are inviting talented individuals to design a logo for the Women Welfare Department, UP which will be used in all promotional materials, including brochures, billboards, websites, etc.

Eligibility Criteria

The competition is open to all Indian citizens, regardless of their age and profession.

Prizes

The winner of the Women Welfare Department, Uttar Pradesh Logo Campaign will receive prizes worth Rs. 5,000 (for logo), & their work will be featured in all promotional materials used by UP Women Welfare Department. This is a great opportunity for aspiring designers and writers to showcase their talents.

Submission Guidelines

  • 2 design options are required in Hindi and English (Single colour & Multicolour).
  • All entries must be original and not infringe on any existing trademark or any other copyright.
  • The design must be submitted in a high-resolution (600 dpi) image of the logo in JPEG, PNG, BMP, or TIFF SVG formats only.
  • The logo should be distinctive and scalable. It should be usable in large hoardings, posters, creatives, and any kind of print material and be appropriate for any kind of web device.
  • The winner shall be required to provide the original open-source file of the designed logo.
  • The logo can be in multi-colour but should be convertible to monochrome too.
  • The logo should look clean (not pixelated or bit-mapped) when viewed on-screen at 100%.
  • Entries should not be submitted in compressed or self-extracting formats.
  • All fonts should be converted to Outlines/Curves.
