About the Contest
The Lions Clubs International Peace Poster Contest offers young minds an opportunity to express their artistic visions of a peaceful world. The 2024-2025 theme, “Peace Without Limits,” encourages children aged 11-13 to creatively interpret what peace means to them. This global contest, now in its 37th year, has become a unique platform for promoting peace through art, empowering youth to share their hopes for a better future.
Who Can Participate?
The contest is open to young artists aged 11-13 as of November 15, 2024. Schools, youth groups, and sponsored Lions Clubs from across the world are invited to participate, fostering a sense of community and global engagement. It’s an excellent opportunity for educators and youth leaders to inspire discussions on peace and creativity while offering a chance for students to showcase their artistic talents.
Contest Guidelines
Participants create their artwork in a medium of their choice, such as pencils, paint, or crayons, on paper or canvas, with the only limit being their imagination. The artwork must be no smaller than 13 inches by 20 inches and no larger than 20 inches by 24 inches. The poster must be created solely by the participant, emphasizing individual creativity. Text or numbers should not be part of the design.
How to Enter?
The contest is held at multiple levels, beginning with local Lions Clubs. Interested schools or youth groups should contact their nearest Lions Club to get involved. Posters are first submitted locally, and winning entries progress through district, multiple district, and international rounds.
Prizes
The grand prize winner receives Rs. 4L+ / $5,000 and a trip to an awards ceremony, while 23 merit winners are awarded Rs. 40k+ / $500 each.
