CBSE is inviting submissions for Drawing and Painting Competition on Maha Kumbh Mela 2025. The last date of submission is January 30.

About the Competition

The Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSE&L), Ministry of Education (MoE), is organising a Drawing and Painting Competition for students of Classes 6 to 8 to celebrate Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 by promoting cultural diversity, ceremonial traditions and rituals through creativity.

About CBSE

A trail of developments mark the significant changes that took place over the years in shaping up the Board to its present status. U P Board of High School and Intermediate Education was the first Board set up in 1921. It has under its jurisdiction Rajputana, Central India and Gwalior.

In response to the representation made by the Government of United Provinces, the then Government of India suggested to set up a joint Board in 1929 for all the areas which was named as the ‘Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Rajputana’. This included Ajmer, Merwara, Central India and Gwalior.Β 

Eligibility

The students of Class 6 to 8 of CBSE-affiliated schools across country (except KVS, NVS) may voluntarily participate.

Contest Theme

  • Bhavya Maha Kumbh: Depict the spiritual magnificence and vibrant atmosphere of the Maha Kumbh & the sacred confluence of Ganga, Yamuna, and Sarawati at Prayagraj
  • Divya Maha Kumbh: Showcase the traditions, rituals and ceremonies related to Maha Kumbh Mela
  • Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat: Illustrate the cultural diversity and harmony fostered through the Maha Kumbh Mela

How to Submit?

Schools can submit/upload entries upto 30 January, 2025 using an Android phone APP available at the Google Play store and can be downloaded through this page.

Prizes

  • First Prize -INR 15,000/-
  • Second Prize INR 10,000/-
  • Third Prize INR 7,000/-
  • 10 Consolation prizes each comprising a certificate and a gift hamper.
  • The 05 best entries in each category will be selected from each CBSE Region for further selection at CBSE Level.
  • Ten best entries will be selected at the CBSE Level to participate in the National Level Competition.
