Applications are invited for the 24th JQA International Environmental Children’s Drawing Contest. The last for submission of entries is May 31, 2024.
About the Organizer
Since 1999, the Japan Quality Assurance Organization (JQA) and the International Certification Organization Network (IQNET) have been hosting the JQA International Environmental Children’s Drawing Contest for children aged 7 to 15 years old from around the world, supported by the UNICEF Tokyo Office.
About the Contest
So far, the contest has been held 23 times, and this year, we’ve had over 9,900 entries from a record-breaking 83 countries and regions. In total, we have received more than 350,000 drawings up to now. Full of imagination and artistic sensitivity, children drew pictures about nature and animals, their families and the surrounding area. The pictures also contain messages about the global environment, beyond borders, and differences in their backgrounds, cultures, and languages.
As the organizer, we hope that this contest provides the children an opportunity to think about the global environment, by expressing their inspiration from nature’s bounty. At the same time, we believe that the efforts to protect the global environment will be further encouraged through the appreciation of such children’s drawings.
Theme
Passing on Our Precious Earth to The Future.
What do humans, animals, plants, and all of our companions living on Earth need to continue living healthily and happily? Clean water and air, rich soil, sunlight, moonlight. Earth is abundant with wonderful environments that protect and nurture life. Please draw scenes of our precious Earth that you would like to pass on to the future.
Eligibility Criteria
Children aged 7 through 15.
Awards & Prizes
53 winners will receive special memorabilia. All entrants will receive a participation prize.
Application Requirements
- Paper size: 257mm x 364mm or smaller.
- Drawing tools: Free-hand drawing with any type of paint, pastel, etc.
- Print out the Application Form and glue it to the back of your drawing, then please send us your drawings to the below address.
