Notice
As per the Affiliation Bye-Laws, all the affiliated schools are bound to follow and comply with the provisions of the Bye-Laws and any other instructions/directions issued by the Board from time to time.
Chapter 14 – “General Rules”, provides for the general rules which are required to be followed mandatorily. Rule 14.1 states that, “Every school is bound to follow the Affiliation By-Laws of the Board mutatis mutandis.”
This Chapter contains the other provisions for fair and smooth conduct of the Board
examinations and for this purpose rules 14.2.1 to 14.2.6 provides that schools shall enroll and sponsor only the bona-fide students for the Board examinations and shall maintain the school records properly.
Further, Chapter 1 of the Affiliation By-Laws provides for the Inspection of the Schools including the
surprise inspection to ascertain and ensure that schools are following the provisions of the Examination
Bye-Laws, Affiliation Bye-Laws and any other instructions issued by the Board from time to time.
Rule No. 11.4 of CBSE Affiliation By-Laws, 2018 which is related to the Surprise inspection of the schools states that, “The Board may any time get an affiliated school inspected by a committee of one or more members without giving any notice to the school.”
This activity of surprise inspection can be carried out at any time to ensure the due compliance of Statutory Provisions, Bye-Laws of the Board and compliance of any legal mandate and all the schools are bound to offer themselves for such inspection as and when directed.
It has been recently observed during the surprise inspections of some schools, that due compliance of the provisions of the Bye-Laws were not found to be complied with and necessary actions were taken against the same.
Such routine surprise inspections shall be done by the Board to see whether the compliance of provisions and conditions of the Affiliation granted to the school are followed or not.
Hence, all the affiliated schools of the Board are informed and directed that the Board shall conduct a surprise inspection of any affiliated school without prior intimation, to check whether due compliance with all the statutory provisions and conditions Affiliation as per the By-Laws of the Board are followed by the schools.
All the schools are directed to keep the records updated and comply with the provisions of the By-Laws of the Board to avoid any adverse action.
It is reiterated that in case, the records are not made available to the inspection committee appointed by Board, then it will be presumed that schools are involved in unethical practices and the Board will initiate action against the school as per the provisions of the Affiliation Bye-Laws, 2018.
This is issued with the approval of the Competent Authority of the Board.
