The Ministry of Textiles is an Indian government national agency responsible for the formulation of policy, planning, development, export promotion and regulation of the textile industry in India. This includes all-natural, artificial, and cellulosic fibres that go into the making of textiles, clothing and Handicrafts.

MyGov is a citizen engagement platform launched by the Government of India on July 26, 2014, to promote the active participation of Indian citizens in their countryβs governance and development.
About the Competition
Office of Development Commissioner for Handlooms, under the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, is celebrating the 9th National Handloom Day on August 7, 2023, to generate awareness about the importance of the handloom industry and its contribution to the socio-economic development of the country and also to popularize to use Handloom.
On the occasion, a competition on Competition to Show your Love for Indian Handlooms through video reels is being organized on the MyGov platform. In this contest, Indian citizens are requested to submit a link to a video reel (created on their own) about their liking, love, and feelings towards Indian Handloom, which is already posted by them on their social media accounts.

The competition is open to all citizens.

Submission Guidelines
- Multiple entries by a participant are not allowed. In case it is found, all the entries will be considered invalid for the said participant.
- All entries must be submitted on MyGov. The links submitted on any other platform will not be considered for evaluation.
- The video clip/reel submitted in this contest should be more than 30-40 seconds.
