2. National Science Olympiad (NSO) 2024 by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF)

National Science Olympiad (NSO) is a school-level competitive exam conducted annually by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF), in which students from classes 1 to 12 participate.

Since its main focus is only on science subjects, NSO is a better platform for all the students who have a higher interest in science and are excited about learning new terms and innovations in science and technology.

Science Olympiad is conducted under two levels where the students who successfully clear the NSO level 1 will be eligible to participate in the NSO level 2 exam.

  • Organizer: Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF).
  • Eligibility: Students of classes 1 to 12 are eligible to appear for the 1st-level Olympiads. There is no other eligibility criterion like minimum marks. 
  • Registration Fees: After filling out the complete SOF NSO form 2024, students have to pay a registration fee of Rs. 125 (including GST) to school authorities. No fee is payable for students with any major physical disability or a student whose parent was martyred during defense operations. Schools may take additional fees of Rs. 25 as an honor towards the teacher to guide students for the exam.

3. GLOBE Science & Environment Olympiad 2024 by the Indian Environmental Society, Delhi 

GLOBE Science & Environment Olympiad is an initiative taken by the Indian Environmental Society whose goal is to promote STEM education (science, technology, engineering, and math). The Olympiad is designed to encourage students to explore, discover, and learn more about STEM education.

GLOBE Science & Environment Olympiad aims to promote a career in STEM and to help all students reach a higher level of achievement in “STEM education” and “STEM jobs”. It provides a great opportunity to compare educational methods and exchange experiences at international levels.

  • Organizer: The Indian Environmental Society, Delhi.
  • Eligibility: The Olympiad is open to students from classes VI to XII.
  • Registration Fees: Amount of Rs. 150/- per participant shall be collected by the school. The school shall retain Rs 20/- per participant as its expenses towards honorarium to the invigilator(s) and other expenses. The cost of the preparatory book (study Material) is Rs. 50/- per book.
