Competition Overview
Submissions are invited for Harper Collins Big Cat Writing Competition 2023. This year’s writing contest is about science. Harper Collins wants to know what inspires, excites or fascinates you about science! Be it a story, a non-fiction account, a poem, a letter.
Eligibility
Open to schools worldwide for pupils aged 5 to 11.
Key Points
- All entries must be original works and written in English language, not exceeding 500 words.
- Only two entries per category (Category 1: Ages 5-7, Category 2: Ages 8-11) allowed per school. In the event of more than 2 entries being submitted per category, only the first two entries will be accepted.
- The competition is open to schools around the world, split into eight different regions including Africa, Americas, Asia, Australasia, Caribbean, Europe, Middle East, UK and Ireland.
- There will be two regional winners in every region (one per age category) and these regional winners will win a regional prize each.
