About the CREST Cyber Olympiad

The CREST Cyber Olympiad (CCO) is an international competitive exam held online for students in classes 1-10. There will be only one level for all the classes. The exam is an objective-type test that the students need to complete in 60 minutes.

The exam consists of two sections:

  • Section-1: Computers and IT.
  • Section-2: Achievers Section.

Important Information About the Olympiad

  • There are separate question papers for each and every class.
  • The medium of the exam is English.
  • CBSE, ICSE/ISC and other State Board syllabi are followed for the set of test papers.
  • The online exams are conducted on web-enabled devices like laptops, tablets or desktops with webcams. Mobile devices are not allowed.
  • For students of class 1, the parent/teacher can assist the child in guiding them through the questions.
  • In case the registration is not through school, the student will have to take the exam from home.

CREST Cyber Olympiad is globally recognized by students. The Olympiad does not just test students’ understanding of Cyber concepts but the application of those concepts as well. Eligibility Criteria for the Level 1 CREST Cyber Olympiad

The list of basic requirements for appearing in the Computer Olympiad is as follows:

  • Students studying in grades 1 – 10 from across the globe are eligible to appear for the CREST Cyber Olympiad.
  • Participating students’ schools should be affiliated with education boards like CBSE, ICSE, IB, State Board, etc.

How to Register?

  • Registration of Students through schools: Students from classes 1-10 are eligible to give CREST Cyber Olympiad. A prospectus containing the registration forms are sent to all schools registered with CREST Olympiads for the Spell Bee exam. If your school is not registered with us, then please send an email to info@crestolympiads.com and we will send you the prospectus soon. It is mandatory for schools to return the registration forms to CREST Olympiads, duly filled in and completed in all respects by the due date.
  • Registration for individual participants: If your school does not conduct Spell Bee, then you can register as an individual participant as well. The link for the online registration for individual participants is here.

Syllabus & Exam Pattern for the CREST Cyber Olympiad

The CREST Cyber Olympiad provides children with a unique online platform to showcase their talent in the field of computers and technology. The Olympiad Cyber exam helps students to level up their understanding of the latest technology and knowledge in computers. The CREST Cyber Olympiad syllabus is categorized into two sections. The syllabus is different for all the classes. The exam paper is specially curated by experienced mentors and professionals. It is highly recommended to go through the Computer Olympiad syllabus in detail before starting the preparation.

As we read above, the CCO question paper is divided into 2 sections. Each section has a different marking scheme. The marking scheme varies for each class.

  • For grades 1-4, the total weightage of the paper is 45 marks.
  • For grades 5-10, the total weightage of the paper is 60 marks.

Dates & Fee for the CREST Cyber Olympiad

The exam dates for CREST Cyber Olympiad (CCO) for the Academic Year 2023-24 are as given below:

The exam fee is INR 225 for students studying and enrolling from India. For students studying and residing outside of India, the fee is country-specific.

Olympiad Awards

Awards worth USD 530,000 (Rs. 4 Cr.+) are kept for the achievers. There are prizes for 50% of the students with top scores. CREST Olympiads recognize students with Merit Certificates, Trophies, Medals, ‘Honorable mention’ Digital Certificates, etc. for their top performance in the examination.
