About Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan
Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan is a national program aimed at popularizing science and promoting the scientific attitude among students from classes VI to XI. It is a collaborative effort by Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA), National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), and Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous organization under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. This initiative seeks to identify and nurture future scientists and innovators by exposing them to the fascinating world of science through various activities and competitive examinations.
Objectives of VVM
- Promoting Scientific Temper: VVM aims to foster curiosity and a scientific mindset among students.
- Encouraging Innovation: The program encourages students to think creatively and innovatively to solve real-world problems.
- Identifying Talent: By conducting examinations and hands-on activities, VVM identifies young talents who have the potential to become future scientists.
- Creating Awareness: VVM also aims to create awareness about India’s contributions to the field of science and technology.

Structure of VVM 2024
- Online Examination: Students will participate in a computer-based test to assess their knowledge of science and general awareness. The exam is conducted in both English and Hindi to cater to a broader audience.
- Experiential Learning: VVM emphasizes hands-on learning through experiments, projects, and interactive sessions with scientists and educators.
- Workshops and Camps: Selected students get the opportunity to attend science camps and workshops, providing them with a platform to engage with peers and experts.
- Assessment and Recognition: Students are assessed based on their performance in exams and activities. Top performers are recognized and awarded at various levels, including state and national levels.
How to Participate?
- Registration: Students can register online through the official VVM website. Schools can also register their students collectively.
