The Royal Society of Biology (RSB), previously called the Society of Biology, is a learned society and professional association in the United Kingdom created to advance the interests of biology in academia, industry, education, and research. 

Competition Overview

The Royal Society of Biology annual photography competition invites amateurs to submit photographs on a particular theme. β€˜Nature and Climate’ is the theme of this year’s Royal Society of Biology Photography Competition.

Prizes

There are two categories in the competition, each with a cash prize:

  • Photographer of the Year (18 and over) – Β£1,000 top prize (INR 102,304.53 approx)
  • Young Photographer of the Year (under 18) – Β£500 top prize (INR 51,152.26 approx)

Eligibility

  • This competition is free to participate in.
  • Entrants can enter either the Photographer of the Year category or the Young Photographer of the Year category.
  • Each entrant may enter up to three photographs into the competition.
  • Images should be high resolution JPEG or PNG files and no larger than 10MB in size.
