About GyanDhan

Started with an aim to make education financing accessible, GyanDhan has helped tens of thousands of students receive higher education loans. In continuation with their aim to make education abroad more accessible, they have partnered with Prodigy Finance to launch two scholarships for students pursuing higher education overseas.

How Does the Scholarship Work?

GyanDhan-Prodigy Finance is a fixed financial aid amount that will be granted to 2 students based on the merit and strength of their application submitted. One scholarship will be awarded for an MS program and the second scholarship for an MBA program.

Eligibility Criteria

Students who fit the below-mentioned criteria can apply for the scholarship: 

  • Students who want to pursue MS and MBA programs overseas (USA, Canada, and the UK).
  • Students who are in the process of applying or have applied but have not yet secured admission can also apply for the scholarship.
  • Students must be Indian residents with an undergrad degree from an Indian institute.
  • Students must apply for an education loan through GyanDhan at Prodigy Finance.
  • You must have accepted an offer from a university by the time we select a winner in September.

Loan applications disbursed for an education loan from Prodigy Finance through GyanDhan will be considered for the scholarship, provided the student has filled and submitted the scholarship application before the deadline.

If the student has applied for the scholarship but did not go through with the education loan from Prodigy Finance will not be considered for the scholarship.

Documents Required

  • Offer letter from the university.
  • Proof of GRE/GMAT score (optional).
  • Proof of IELTS/TOEFL score (optional).
  • Latest resume.
  • Statement of purpose in 1500 words.*
  • Letter of recommendation (optional).

*Students can upload the Statement of purpose submitted to their target university.

Selection Procedure

Scholarships aim to support exceptional students for postgraduate studies. The selection will be rigorous. The selection of students will be done based on: 

  • Academic performance.
  • Test score of GRE/GMAT/TOEFL/IELTS.
  • Statement of purpose and letter of recommendation.
  • Strength of the profile submitted.

A selection committee will be formed to judge the applicants and will recommend students based on the above-mentioned criteria.

Important Details

  • Students who have applied for the loan through GyanDhan and are approved for a loan from Prodigy Finance will be considered for the scholarship.
  • Students going for undergraduate studies, conferences, exchange programs, and seminars are not eligible for the scholarship.
