All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is seeking the participation of all students, faculty, and staff members of AICTE-approved institutions for the One Student One Tree Campaign 2023.

About the Campaign

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has launched the MeriLiFE movement as a key to combating climate change and promoting plantation. Under this mission, the target of “One crore” Tree Plantation has been taken by AICTE.

The tree plantation drive may be planned considering the horticultural landscaping of the institute aiming to plant a maximum number of trees and plants, wherever possible for example along boundary walls/roads/tracks, in empty spaces which are not to be used for any other purpose.

Who Can Participate?

AICTE requests all students, faculty, and staff members of its approved Institutions to plant at least one tree having suitable utility in the respective region. The name of the Tree may be given on the name of the person who planted that tree.

Rewards

As an incentive for carrying out the plantation, students, faculty, and staff members will be recognized as Pro Planet People. Students may be awarded 20 ‘AICTE Activity Points,’ as defined in Chapter 6 of the AICTE Internship Policy’.

In addition, the top 100 Institutes with a maximum number of trees planted will be awarded a ‘Certificate of Appreciation‘ by AICTE.
