About IISER, Pune
The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune is a premier institute dedicated to research and teaching in the basic sciences. It was established in 2006 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (renamed the Ministry of Education in August 2020). In 2012, IISER Pune was declared an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament.
About the Workshop
These are paid workshops that happen at two levels: basic (primarily for school and college students) and advanced (primarily for Third Year BSc, MSc, and Ph.D. students). The primary aim of these workshops is to train students in basic and advanced techniques of Molecular Biology. This training will also be useful for those working in inter-disciplinary areas (e.g. chemical biology), where some molecular biology techniques are often used.
Title & Short Description
- Title: Whodunnit?: DNA Fingerprinting.
- Short Description: Identify the culprit by matching DNA from a crime scene to that of three suspects.
Eligibility Criteria
It is aimed at School (Class IX-XII) and College students.

3.5 Hours.
Certificates
All participants will get the course of completion certificate.
