About NSC
Nehru Science Centre (NSC) is the largest interactive science centre in India. It is located in Worli, Mumbai. The centre is named after India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. In 1977, the centre started with the ‘Light and Sight’ exhibition, and then in 1979 a Science Park was built. On 11 November 1985 it was opened to the public by Rajiv Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India.
Nehru Science Centre has more than 500 hands-on and interactive science exhibits on energy, sound, kinematics, mechanics, transport, etc. installed in the science park & different galleries. The NSC building with its unique architecture houses several permanent science expositions on various themes.
National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), the parent body of Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai, is an autonomous society under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India with its 25 Science Centres / Museums all over the country. It has the best infrastructure and skilled manpower to conceptualize, design, develop and organize high quality science exhibits and other related educational programmes and activities.
Workshop Details
NSC is excited to announce that the Nehru Science Centre is hosting an International Travelling Exhibition with the theme “Vaccines Injecting Hope”. We cordially invite you to encourage your students to participate in our exciting workshops, contests, and events centered around this exhibition, scheduled from June 24th to July 19th, 2024.
