About the Organization

Nehru Science Centre is among the four National level Science Museums in NCSM, working as the Western Zone Headquarters with four science centres in Nagpur, Bhopal, Dharampur and Goa under its umbrella caters to the people in the Western part of India. As a part of its activities, the Centre organizes regular extensive science education programmes, activities and competitions for the benefit of the common people and students in particular.

Nehru Science Centre incorporates innovative ways to communicate science to enthuse, entertain, initiate, excite and bring the developments of science & technology to the doorstep of common people for prosperity, awareness, and improving the quality of life. The centre attempts to enhance public understanding of science and spread scientific literacy.

Workshop Details

Welcome to the Paper STEAMer Workshop, where students delve into Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics through the marvel of paper. From understanding paper’s properties to crafting intricate structures, they explore its versatility. Through hands-on activities, they engineer paper creations, integrate technology, unleash artistic flair, and apply mathematical concepts. Origami, circuits, and mathematical models come to life, fostering creativity and problem-solving.

In just a few hours, students emerge with a deepened appreciation for paper’s potential as a powerful educational tool, ready to innovate, create, and explore the boundless possibilities of STEAM through the simple medium of paper.

Criteria for Registration

  • Interested students need to Install Zoom app in their Mobile/ Computer with good internet connectivity.
  • The date of this workshop is 07/06/2024 from 4.00 pm to 5.30 pm.
  • Suitable for students of Std. 5th and above.
  • Participation fee is Rs.300/- per student (non refundable).
  • The participation will be based on first come first served.
  • Total available seats are 90.
  • Registration will be confirmed only after payment.
  • The digital copy of the course material will be shared with confirmed participants only.
  • Registered participants will get a digital certificate after completion of the workshop.
