World Photography Organisation is a leading global platform dedicated to the development and advancement of photographic culture. Its programming and competition initiatives provide valuable opportunities for artists working in photography and help broaden the conversation around their work.
The Sony World Photography Awards is World Photography Organisation’s principal programme. Established in 2007, it is one of the world’s biggest and most prestigious photography competitions; celebrating the work of leading and emerging practitioners and attracting tens of thousands of visitors annually to its exhibitions worldwide.
Competition Details
The Open competition rewards outstanding single images across ten (10) categories. Photographers should consider the category description when entering their work. Judges are looking for good composition, creativity and clear photographs.
Free to enter and open to anyone submitting single images taken in 2024. Rewarding the best single images. Entry is free and you could win $5,000, top Sony digital imaging equipment plus more.
Rules
- The Open competition is open to all members of the public.
- Enter up to three single images for free.
- Ten diverse categories to enter.
- Awards for category winners plus up to 15 shortlisted photographers per category.
- One overall winner receives the Open Photographer of the Year title.
- By entering the Competition, You agree and acknowledge that the World Photography Organisation is permitted to receive Your registration data. All personal information will be used by the World Photography Organisation in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
- To enter, you must upload your image via the World Photography Organisation Website (www.worldphoto.org) or any of the official Sony World Photography Awards’ websites and follow the on-screen instructions carefully.
