About the Competition
- Mission: Revive the art of the short story, support artists, and produce something wonderful.
- Payout: Base Pay of $100 (approx. Rs. 8k) for the chosen story + 50% of subscription revenue to be sent by Paypal, Zelle, or check.
Deadline for Submissions
Submit stories by the end of the month. In this month’s case, the deadline is February 29, 2024.
Announcement of Winners
The winner is to be announced on the 15th of every month. In this month’s case, the winner will be announced on March 15, 2024. There is ONE story that wins and receives the full payout.
Competition Rules
- No Fees.
- Send in Microsoft Word or Google Doc form.
- Any genre.
- 6 – 10,000 words.
- Reprints are okay, so long as you still have the right to distribute.
- Acknowledge Distribution Rights on this Substack: You can still sell your story elsewhere but they need to be able to save and publish it on their platform. The goal is to create a library for subscribers.

Yes! Analytics will be published monthly in terms of subscribers, the number of submissions, and anything else that might be relevant.
There is also the option to sign up for FREE emails. You wonβt get the story, but you will get information and can follow the project.
