Submissions are invited for Videography and Photography Contest 2023 by Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir. The last date of submission is August 25, 2023.
About the Contest
Department of Information and Public Relations is proud to announce the Photo/Videography contest for the people of J&K to portray the developmental scenario in UT and win exciting cash prizes.
Participants can enter the contest through any of the below-mentioned 3 themes and can take up any of the subjects for applying in the contest.
- Infrastructure Development: Major infra projects undertaken in the UT of J&K that will/are proven to be a revolutionary step in the development of J&K. With new rail network, highways, roads & tunnels, smart cities, AIIMS, IIT, IIM, GMC, Power Transmission, Hydropower, Solar power, etc. J&K has leapfrogged to new developmental heights.
- Human Development: Beneficiary schemes of the government that are proven to be instrumental in transforming the lives of people by getting the due benefits. Some note-worthy schemes such as Ujala, Ujwala, PMAY, SEHAT, purple revolution, PMFBY, Self- employment schemes, farmer-centric schemes, scholarship schemes etc. have helped in the socio-economic development of the people of J&K.
- Tourism: Blessed with innumerable exotic locations, J&K is one of the most sought-after Tourist destinations of the world. With Government intervention new avenues such as rafting, fishing, skiing & snowboarding, golfing, trekking & mountaineering, shikara riding, houseboat stay, mountain biking, motorsport, air adventure and watersports etc. are being explored to boost economy.

- Photograph of a remote household getting an electricity connection for the first time under UJALA scheme.
- A person getting free treatment under PMJAY-SEHAT scheme.
- Photograph of start-ups.
- Photograph of saffron cultivation.
- A person getting free treatment under PMJAY-SEHAT scheme.
- Photograph of GI-tagged products etc.
Entry Categories
- Single Photo Category (Entry format: single photo).
- Photo Story Category (Entry format: photo story of 5 to 10 images).
- Short Film Category (Entry format: 120 to 300 second long video).
- Super Short Film Category (Entry format: 60 to 120 second-long video).
- Special Encouragement Award (Below 18 years).
Eligibility
The contest is open to all, professional and amateur, regardless of age and gender.
Awards
- Single photo category winner will receive a cash price of INR 10,000 and a memento.
- Photo story category winner will receive a cash price of INR 20,000 and a memento.
- Short Film Category winner will receive a cash price of INR 50,000 and a memento.
- Super Short Film Category winner will receive a cash price of INR 30,000 and a memento.
- Special Encouragement award winner will receive a cash price of INR 10,000 and a memento.
