About the National Commission for Women

The National Commission for Women (NCW) is the statutory body of the Government of India, generally concerned with advising the government on all policy matters affecting women. It was established on January 31, 1992, under the provisions of the Indian Constitution, as defined in the 1990 National Commission for Women Act. The objective of the NCW is to represent the rights of women in India and to provide a voice for their issues and concerns.

About the Competition

National Commission for Women (NCW) in collaboration with MyGov is excited to invite creative minds and design enthusiasts to participate in this competition and to design a fresh and impactful that will serve as a visual identity for NCW, symbolizing its commitment to promoting gender equality and championing the rights of women across diverse backgrounds.

Eligibility Criteria

The contest is open for all Indian citizens except employees of the National Commission for Women (NCW), Ministry of Women & Child Development (MWCD), and MyGov. Employees and their immediate family members including spouses, children, parents, and parents-in-law are debarred from the competition.

Prizes

The best entry will be rewarded with a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 and a certificate of appreciation.

Submission Guidelines

  • The participant should submit a high-resolution (600 dpi) image of the logo in JPEG, PNG, BMP, or TIFF SVG formats only.
  • The logo should be distinctive and scalable. The logo should be usable on the website/social media such as Twitter/Facebook, press releases, and on printable such as stationery, signage, labels, etc., magazines, commercials, holdings, standees, posters, brochures, leaflets, pamphlets, souvenirs, and other publicity and marketing material for the creating awareness of NCW working.
  • The winner shall be required to provide the original open-source file of the designed logo.
  • The logo should look clean (not pixelated or bit-mapped) when viewed on-screen at 100%.
  • Entries should not be submitted in compressed or self-extracting formats.
  • The logo design should not be imprinted or watermarked.
  • All fonts should be converted to Outlines/Curves.
  • Texts used in the logo design should be bilingual (Hindi & English).
  • The logo should be aligned with NCW’s existing official logo and the design should include the artistic elements/expression of Women’s Empowerment.
