About SPACE India
Space Technology and Education Pvt. Ltd., also recognized as SPACE India, is a pioneer organization with a legacy of 24 years in developing and popularizing Astronomy, Space Science, and STEM education and experiences at Grassroots level (K-12) and beyond. As a registered Space Tutor of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), SPACE India has been instrumental in creating an impact through science, and aligns with the United Nationsβ Sustainable Development Goals.
Competition Details
In 2024, World Space Week (WSW) focuses on “Space and Climate change.” This theme celebrates the transformative impact of space technology in our ongoing battle against climate change, emphasizing the proactive role space exploration plays in enhancing our understanding and management of Earthβs climate.
This competition invites students to create a video podcast where they discuss or demonstrate the ways space technology is contributing to climate change solutions. Participants are encouraged to use scientific evidence and creative storytelling to highlight space innovations that promote environmental sustainability.
Categories and Topic
- Below 10 years age group ( βHow Can We Help Our Planet?β β Explore small steps to protect Earth from climate change)
- 10 to 15 years age group (Climate Change on Other Planets: What We Can Learn)
- 16 to 20 years age group (Space Missions Monitoring Earthβs Climate β How are space agencies like NASA and ISRO tracking and addressing climate change?)
- Above 20 years age group (From Satellites to Sustainability: The Role of Space Technology in Climate Monitoringβ β The importance of space tech in tracking environmental changes.)
Guidelines
- Any scientific aids or models can be used to explain the contributions.
- The mode of explaining the theme can be a demonstration, presentation, interaction or interview.
