Themes

Poverty and starvation have been made worse by the COVID-19 epidemic, and vulnerable young populations are being affected by continuous crises that have been made worse by war violence and economic failures. This is made worse by the fact that the growing climate crisis is causing more natural disasters and environmental degradation, which calls for stronger climate resilience plans and a decrease in the rate of rising yearly emissions.

Access to safe water and sanitation remains a significant challenge, especially for young women and girls, with clean water being crucial for their educational and economic participation. Gender inequality persists, with women and girls facing persistent barriers in education, employment, and decision-making; addressing this requires dedicated strategies to promote gender equality and empower young women.

In the realm of youth employment, there is a pressing need to foster economic development and create green jobs, alongside enhancing employment prospects through skill development and digital transformation. Finally, global solidarity and inclusive decision-making are essential to ensure equitable opportunities and ensure that no one is left behind in our collective efforts to address these multifaceted challenges.

Expected Outcomes

The program aims to boost the number of young people involved in humanitarian work by developing frameworks that include their viewpoints in crisis responses, so giving them more control over crisis management and recovery. In addition to supporting inclusive policy creation and providing focused training to hone advocacy and leadership abilities, it will create concrete policy proposals for involving adolescents in SDG-related decision-making.

With an emphasis on youth perspectives, the initiative will achieve important SDGs by addressing poverty, gender equality, climate resilience, and access to healthcare and education. Additionally, it will establish cooperation agreements to strengthen international solidarity, promote participatory decision-making, and increase young well-being and access to resources.

More effective responses to crises and sustainable development initiatives will be ensured by strengthened collaborations between governments, non-governmental organizations, and youth organizations.
