About the Contest
Indian Institute of Carpet Technology (IICT, Bhadohi), an institution under the aegis of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India in collaboration with the Central Wool Development Board (CWDB), Jodhpur and MyGov are hosting a competition for the design of a Logo aims to create a symbol of quality assurance for woolen handmade carpets and rugs manufactured in India.
The objective of this contest is to encourage creativity and innovation among Indian citizens. The entry must be original should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957, and must not infringe on the intellectual rights of any third party.
IICT Bhadohi, CWDB Jodhpur, and MyGov are not responsible for copyright violations or infringements of intellectual property carried out by the participants.
Contest Theme
Participants are invited to design a logo that symbolizes the quality assurance label for woolen handmade carpets and rugs made in India.
Logo Specifications
- The logo should be between 2.5 cm and 10 cm in size and should have two versions: one for products with 80% wool and above and another for products with 50% wool and above.
- Image format should be in PDF or SVG.
Eligibility
The competition is open to all students of any recognized institution in India with valid ID proof.
Submission and Technical Requirements
- Participants must submit a logo with a brief description of their concept and inspiration.
- The logo must be unique and elegant.
- Entries must be original, handcrafted designs, not generated by artificial intelligence.
Gratification
- The best logo entry will receive ₹25,000 and a certificate.
- Consolation prizes include certificates for the first and second runners-up.
