About the Japan
Japan is an island country in East Asia, located in the Pacific Ocean off the northeast coast of the Asian mainland. It is bordered on the west by the Sea of Japan and extends from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea in the south.
Contest Details
Encouraged by the astounding response to the CLICK! JAPAN PHOTO CONTESTS in the past, the Embassy of Japan and the Japan Foundation, New Delhi, are thrilled to announce that the CLICK! JAPAN PHOTO CONTEST 2024 will be held again, this year too.
Eligibility
This contest is only open to citizens of India, who have travelled to Japan for any duration between 1st March 2024 and 28th February 2025. The photo(s) must be the original works of the participant and taken in Japan within the period mentioned above.
Guidelines
- Participants should be back in India by 1st April 2025.
- Only amateur (non-professional) photographers can participate.
- Applicants are requested to fill in the application form with the duration of the trip, cities visited, and locations photographed, and to attach evidence of their visit during the period (e.g. e-tickets, passport entry/exit history, shopping receipts, photos of tickets to tourist facilities, etc.).
- Theme: ‘Charms of Japan that you would like to introduce to your family and friends’ Photography subjects: Landscapes, food, buildings, everyday life, people, pilgrimages to sacred paces, etc.
- Minimum and maximum number of entries per person: Minimum 1 (one) photograph; Maximum up to 2 (two) photographs allowed.
- Photos can be in colour as well as in black & white. Cropping and post-capture editing is allowed.
Prizes
- Winners will get Special Prizes from Canon, JAL and ANA!!
- Winners of 10 outstanding works will receive invitations to the Prize Ceremony at the Embassy of Japan, New Delhi.
- Top 20 works or so on will be displayed in a Photo Exhibition at the Japan Foundation, New Delhi Gallery.
The prizes will be announced in September 2024.
