About the Quiz
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the much-awaited Heritage India Quiz 2025, a flagship event that promotes awareness and appreciation of India’s rich cultural traditions among school students.
This year, the quiz revolves around the theme: “Heritage through Vibrant Festivals of India” and showcases how India’s diverse festivals and traditional knowledge systems preserve our timeless heritage.
Why Heritage India Quiz?
The CBSE Heritage India Quiz is more than just a competition. It is a platform that:
- Connects students with the cultural diversity of India.
- Promotes knowledge of festivals, traditions, and indigenous practices.
- Inspires the younger generation to take pride in India’s heritage.
Important Details
- Schools can register online at the official CBSE Website.
- Login with school affiliation number and password (used for LOC registration).
- Registration Fee: ₹1500/- per team (via payment gateway only).
- Last Date: 30th September, 2025
- Once submitted, details cannot be changed.
- Each school must select three students from Classes IX–XII to form a team.
Competition Stages
Stage 1: Online Test (October 2025)
- 60 Multiple Choice Questions, 50 minutes duration.
- Conducted in the school’s IT Lab.
- Teams get instant feedback after the test.
- Top 6 teams from each cluster will qualify for Stage 2.
Stage 2: Cluster Round (November 2025)
- Conducted online via video conferencing.
- Winning team from each cluster moves to the Semi-finals in Delhi.
Stage 3: Semi-Finals & National Final (December 2025, Delhi)
- Teams divided into 4 groups for Semi-finals.
- Winners from each group proceed to the Grand National Final.
- Travel: Domestic airfare (economy class) for 3 students + 1 escort teacher will be reimbursed for semi-finalist teams.
Rewards and Recognition
Prizes for National Winners
- First Prize: Rs. 25,000 + Rolling Trophy
- Second Prize: Rs. 15,000
- Third Prize: Rs. 10,000
- Fourth Prize: Rs. 8,000
Semi-Finalist Awards
- 2nd Position: Rs. 6,000 (per team)
- 3rd Position: Rs. 5,000 (per team)
- 4th Position: Rs. 4,000 (per team)
- 5th Position: Rs. 3,000 (per team)
- All Semi-finalists & Finalists will receive Merit Certificates.
Guidelines for Participation
- Open to all CBSE-affiliated schools in India and abroad.
- Ensure seamless broadband internet connectivity in the computer lab.
- Keep backup computers with UPS & internet ready.
- No change of team members after registration.
- All communications will be sent to the registered school email ID.
