Applications are open and invited from students aged 18 and above for the Alpine Fellowship Writing Prize 2024. The last date for submitting entries is March 1, 2024.
About the Organizer
They are a charitable foundation that supports, commissions, and showcases artists, writers, academics, and playwrights. They’re committed to discovering emerging talent, to disseminating new ideas, and to sharing thoughts about art, literature, and philosophy.
Through prizes, they evaluate thousands of entries by entrants from around the world and offer financial support in the form of grants, mentoring, performances, and exhibitions of the work of talented young artists, writers, academics, and playwrights. They also work with partner artistic and academic institutions to commission new works of art and to further the humanities and interdisciplinary study.

Eligibility Criteria
- It is open to all nationalities.
- Applicants must be aged 18 or above at the time of entry.
- All entries must be written in English.
- All genres of writing are permitted, including fiction, non-fiction, and non-academic essays.
- Applicants can only enter one of the prizes.
- It is limited to one entry per person.
Prizes
The winner and runners-up will receive cash prizes and will be invited to attend the annual symposium. The organization will offer up to Β£500 travel expenses to help with travel to the event and meals and accommodation during the symposium.
- First place: Β£3,000
- Second place: Β£1,000
- Third place: Β£1,000

Submission Guidelines
- Submissions must be standalone and cannot be extracted from a larger piece.
- A maximum of 2,500 words per entry.
- Stories must not have been published, self-published, or accepted for publication in print or online, or have won or been placed in another competition at any time.
