About CBSE
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national level board of education in India for public and private schools, controlled and managed by the Government of India. Established in 1929 by a resolution of the government, the Board was an experiment towards inter-state integration and cooperation in the sphere of secondary education. There are more than 27,000 schools in India and 240 schools in 28 foreign countries affiliated to the CBSE. All schools affiliated to CBSE follow the NCERT curriculum especially from class 9 to 12.
The constitution of the Board was amended in 1952 to give its present name, the Central Board of Secondary Education. The Board was reconstituted on 1 July 1962 so as to make its services available to students and various educational institutions in the entire country.

CBSE has planned to conduct Capacity Building Programmes for teachers teaching βTourismβ in Classes XI & XII. The CBP shall be conducted in offline mode.
The details of the program are as:
- Date: 22nd August 2024.
- Timings: 10.00 AM to 4:30 PM (reporting time 9.30 AM).
- Venue: BCM school, Sector 32/A, Urban Estate, Chandigarh road, Ludhiana, Punjab.
- Registration link.
Please note that:
- Teachers teaching βTourismβ as a skill subject in a CBSE affiliated school can register for attending above-mentioned training programme using the above mentioned link.
- Limited seats are available. Selection of participants shall be on first- come, first- served basis.
- No TA/DA is admissible as per CBSE norms.
- There is no participation fee for the above programme.
- The teachers shortlisted for the programme will be informed two days, prior for the programme through email at their e-mail Ids provided at the time of registration.
