About CBSE

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national level board of education in India for public and private schools, controlled and managed by the Government of India. Established in 1929 by a resolution of the government, the Board was an experiment towards inter-state integration and cooperation in the sphere of secondary education. There are more than 27,000 schools in India and 240 schools in 28 foreign countries affiliated to the CBSE. All schools affiliated to CBSE follow the NCERT curriculum especially from class 9 to 12. 

Programme Details

With the view to reach out to all the teachers of the schools affiliated for ensuring compliance of mandatory hours of CPD as enunciated in the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020 (Para no. 5.15), Board is in the process of augmenting its training resources. Setting up of Centre of Excellences (CoEs), Video Recording Studios at CoEs, developing CBPs and hosting offline and online CBP sessions demonstrates our continuing efforts aimed at academic excellence and well-rounded development of students. They have a large pool of very talented teachers in our affiliated schools. It is crucial that they are offered an opportunity to become Resource Persons for CBSE to conduct training in their respective areas of expertise.

Becoming a Resource Person is rewarding in many ways. It not only recognises professional competencies but also helps achieve standards and add value to the education ecosystem. Empanelled and capable Resource Persons are deputed for conducting training. An honorarium @ Rs. 2500/- per session for 90 minutes is admissible for the Resource Persons for training.

For outstation sessions, transportation allowance, hotel charges, meal charges etc. are also paid as per norms of the Board. Empanelled Resource Person is also entitled for availing free certification programme organized by the CBSE with the help of premier training institute/organization. Such trained Resource Persons will be engaged for training in their area of expertise by our CoEs on need-based basis.

Eligibility

  • Expertise in a specific subject area, educational topic relevant to the CBSE system, teaching methodology, and assessment.
  • Should be a practicing teacher/Vice Principal/Principal/Head in a CBSE affiliated school with Minimum 7 years’ of experience as Head/Principal/Vice Principal/PGT/TGT/Counsellor/ Special Educator.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for effective delivery of training sessions.
  • A creative/innovative, interactive approach to teaching, learning with focus on best practices in education.
  • Well-versed with the use of ICT and digital tools for teaching learning.

Please note that the Resource Persons already registered with CBSE with RP-ID (for e.g. RPXXXX03) need not apply again.
