About the Festival
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), under its Department of Skill Education, announces the organization of the Skill Expo & Guidance Festival 2025–26 across various identified cities in India and abroad. This national initiative aims to strengthen the implementation of skill education and provide structured career guidance to students from CBSE-affiliated schools.
This multi-city festival is being conducted with the vision of promoting awareness around future careers, skill development, and experiential learning. The regional events will culminate in a national-level exhibition, creating an inclusive platform for students, educators, and principals to engage in peer learning and innovation.

Objectives of the Event
- Encouraging Skill Development: Promoting the importance of skill-based learning from an early age.
- Fostering Innovation and Creativity: Providing opportunities for students to showcase original and innovative ideas.
- Enhancing Practical Knowledge: Bridging the gap between theoretical understanding and practical application.
- Building Communication and Teamwork: Strengthening students’ presentation, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Promoting Vocational Education: Highlighting the importance of vocational courses and alternate career pathways.
- Connecting with Industry Trends: Introducing students to the expectations and opportunities in various industries.
Themes for the Skill Expo 2025–26
Participants may submit projects under the following thematic categories:
- Technology and Innovation (AI, Coding, Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics)
- Environment and Sustainability
- Health and Wellness
- Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy
- Tourism and Hospitality
- Agriculture and Rural Development
- Media, Design and Communication
Participation Guidelines
Eligibility Categories:
- Category I: Classes VI to X
- Category II: Classes XI to XII
Team Composition:
- Each team: 1 teacher, 2 students, and 1 mentor skill teacher
- Maximum of 3 teams per school
- Schools can present 1–3 exhibits
- Themes and participants once registered cannot be changed
Project Suggestions:
- Demonstrate the process of creating a product
- Show application of entrepreneurial principles
- Use of eco-friendly and innovative materials is encouraged
Submission Requirements:
- Project title, description, material list, images, and video
Evaluation Criteria:
- Creativity and Imagination – 20%
- Originality and Innovation – 15%
- Scientific Approach – 15%
- Technical Skills and Craftsmanship – 15%
- Social Utility and Entrepreneurship – 15%
- Cost-effectiveness and Durability – 10%
- Presentation – 10%
Guidance Festival 2025–26: Key Details
- Schools must register separately for this event
- Each school may nominate 5 students and 2 teachers
- Full-day attendance (9:00 AM to 1:00 PM) is mandatory for certification
- Short informative sessions and webinars will precede the event
- Visitors may attend the Skill Expo during designated breaks
- Topics include:

- Career planning and roadmaps
- Emerging career opportunities

- No registration fee will be charged
- Expenses related to participation are to be borne by schools
- Selected teams will be notified via the registered email
- Participation and merit certificates will be awarded
