Online applications are invited for the VANDA International Science Competition 2023.
About the Competition
Vanda International Science Olympiad is held annually across the globe. It emphasizes the student’s capacity to think critically and creatively to discover hidden information that will help them answer the issue. It is designed for kids in Grades 3 to Grade 11.
It is based on the Singapore School Science Syllabus and emphasizes higher-order thinking skills. Because they are familiar with the majority of the themes, this permits participants to perform better than they would in a pure-Olympiad paper.
Vanda International Science Olympiad questions in the competition have a strong foundation in scientific knowledge and methodology, including the development of reasoning and analytical skills, decision and problem-solving skills, flexibility in responding to different contexts, and having an open and inquiring mind willing to explore new territories and learn new things, all of which are aligned to the desired 21st-century competencies.
Objectives
Ignite Your Enthusiasm: It helps students discover their secret passion for science. It gives them a variety of engaging content in the form of questions to pique their interest and inspire them to learn more about science.
An Opportunity For All: It provides students with the opportunity to participate in a Science Olympiad Competition that focuses on higher-order thinking skills. This gives them the courage to enter more difficult science competitions and begin receiving “A*” grades in science.
Reaching Greater Heights: It assists students in becoming comfortable with a variety of science Olympiad papers in the appropriate setting. Vanda hopes that kids will take advantage of this opportunity to compete in future Science Olympiad Competitions that are more difficult.
