About the Accounting Olympiad
The Accounting Olympiad is a unique initiative of the School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR. The objective of the Olympiad is to identify the hidden talent in Accounting and inspire young minds to appreciate Accounting as a Subject.
The Olympiad will provide a national platform for competition to young and talented students. The exam will promote excellence in accounting as an academic discipline and will help the students in solving conceptual and challenging problems in accounting. The competition will be held at the national level.
Eligibility Criteria
The students who are in standard 11th or 12th with commerce stream can participate in the Accounting Olympiad. The maximum age of the applicant shall not be more than 19 years.
Prizes
- First Prize: Gold Medal, Certificate, and Cash Award Rs.10,000
- Second Prize: Silver Medal, Certificate, and Cash Award Rs.8,000
- Third Prize: Bronze Medal, Certificate, and Cash Award Rs.5,000
- 10 Consolation Prizes Certificate and Gift Hampers
- Best Accounting School Award* Trophy and Certificate
Registration and Fee Payment
The registration fee is Rs. 150 per participant. Participants can pay the registration fee by scanning the bar code given in the brochure. Kindly select the main head βFest and Conferenceβ and then the subhead βAccounting Olympiadβ to pay the fee.
Levels of Exam
There will be two levels of this exam.
- Level I: It will be qualifying in nature.
- Level II: Students who will qualify for the first level, will be eligible to appear for the second level exam.
Mode of Exam
- Level I: The exam will be in online mode. Candidates will receive a Google form link comprising all the questions on their registered email ID. Candidates must finish the test within the allocated time. Submissions will not be allowed after the expiry of time.
- Level II: The exam will be in offline mode. It will be conducted at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR Campus.
Type of Questions, Marking scheme, and Duration of Exam
- Level I: 30 Multiple Choice Questions will be asked. Each question will carry 1 mark. The duration of the exam will be 25 minutes.
- Level II: 60 Multiple Choice Questions will be asked in the exam. Negative marking shall be applicable for this exam (0.25 mark for each wrong answer).
Date and Timing of Exams
- Level I: Sunday, April 9, 2023 (Online), 10:00 AM to 10:25 AM
- Level II: Sunday, April 16, 2023 (Offline), 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM. The reporting time shall be 10:30 AM.
