About CBSE

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national level board of education in India for public and private schools, controlled and managed by the Government of India. Established in 1929 by a resolution of the government, the Board was an experiment towards inter-state integration and cooperation in the sphere of secondary education. There are more than 27,000 schools in India and 240 schools in 28 foreign countries affiliated to the CBSE. All schools affiliated to CBSE follow the NCERT curriculum especially from class 9 to 12. National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) (Hindi: राष्ट्रीय शैक्षिक अनुसंधान और प्रशिक्षण परिषद) is an autonomous organisation of Ministry of Education, the Government of India. Established in 1961, it is a literary, scientific and charitable Society under the Societies Registration Act. Its headquarters are located at Sri Aurbindo Marg in New Delhi. Dr. Dinesh Prasad Saklani is the director of NCERT since 2022.

‘Sapnon ki Udaan’ is an e-magazine, prepared by NCERT in collaboration with CBSE and other autonomous institutions of MoE and was launched on 23rd August 2024 by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education.

The theme for the next issue of this e-Magazine is “Education in the Journey of Viksit Bharat; Your Dreams and Aspirations”.

All the School Heads are requested to submit one best entry each in Hindi and English on the theme mentioned above. For the detailed guidelines please see Annexure-A.
