CBSE webinars on NCrF pilot implementation for classes VI, IX, and XI from 24th to 27th September 2024. Read this article for the details!

About the Notification

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to introduce the National Credit Framework (NCrF) guidelines in its affiliated schools starting from the 2024-2025 academic session. This initiative marks a significant step towards promoting a more comprehensive and balanced approach to assessing students’ overall development and learning. With the NCrF, students will be evaluated not only on academic performance but also on their participation in extracurricular activities, life skills, and vocational education, in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

In light of this, CBSE had earlier circulated details under Circular No. Skill-33/2024 (dated 9th April 2024) and Notification No. 67/2024 (dated 20th June 2024) to invite interested schools to be part of the pilot implementation of NCrF guidelines. Schools from classes VI, IX, and XI were invited to participate, and after a detailed review process, the list of selected schools has now been released.
