About the Magazine

Competition Success Review, often abbreviated as CSR, is a general knowledge magazine in India aimed at students who wish to appear for Union Public Service Commission exams. Its content includes general knowledge with a focus on Indian current events, tips for college interviews, interviews with IAS high rankers, interview and GD tips and sample question papers for different competitive examinations. It was first published in 1964 as a pull-out supplement.

Contest Details

For the CSR Essay Contests, 2 topics are announced every month. The best essay on each of the Two Topics given below will be awarded a Certificate of Merit plus Study Material + Pens + Deodorant Body Spray (worth Rs. 3100).

20 Highly Commendable Prizes : Certificate of Merit plus India, The World Wall Maps and Magazines (worth Rs. 250).

The length of the essay should not exceed 750 words. The Editor will pay special attention to the participant’s grasp of the topic and to the ability to think constructively and to present one’s ideas concisely, logically and effectively.

  • Unemployment problem in India.
  • Rabindranath Tagore.

Age Limit

From 15 years to 21 years.

Contest Guidelines

  • THERE IS NO ENTRY FEE.
  • Entries should be typed double-spaced on one side of the paper and must be accompanied by two latest passport size (bust) colour photographs.
  • Photographs should be taken in formal dress as if appearing for an Interview/Personality Test. Name, Mobile No., Email, Address, City, State, Pin Code of the contributor along with biodata must be written on the first page of the entry and only name on the back of the photograph.
  • All entries, along with photographs, received will be the exclusive property of CSR Group and can be used for its promotion.
  • The contributor will be solely responsible for any violation of the Copyright Act where the material submitted for the Contests is not original. Editor’s decision will be final and binding.
