Contest Details

The Resident Commission,J&K,New Delhi is delighted to announce a contest which throws the limelight on the local food of Jammu and Kashmir! Embark on a gastronomic journey through the heart of Jammu and Kashmir with “Culinary Crossroads.”

This contest celebrates the rich tapestry of flavors that define our region’s cuisine, from the hearty Dogra delights to the exquisite Kashmiri Wazwan. We invite you to share your culinary creations in a short video or photograph and showcase the traditional tastes and innovative twists that make our local food truly special.

Eligibility Criteria

The contest is open to all, professional and amateur, regardless of age and gender.

Submission Guidelines

  • Entry is limited to original works for which the entrant holds all applicable rights.
  • Entries and the persons depicted therein are restricted to works for which the entrant holds the copyright or for which the entrant has received the prior usage permission of the right holder.
  • Before submitting a work, the entrant is responsible for taking all steps necessary to protect the right of publicity and other rights of persons depicted in the work, including but not limited to obtaining their permission, to avoid any problems related to the infringement of these rights.
  • Entrants are responsible for the resolution of any legal issues arising from their submitted works and agree to pay any costs thereby incurred.

Selection Criteria

  • The dish should be a traditional recipe or an innovative take on Jammu and Kashmir’s cuisine.
  • The visual appeal of the dish, including plating and garnishing.
  • Originality in the cooking process, presentation, or storytelling in the video or photo.
  • How well the dish represents the cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir.
  • The clarity and production value of the video or photograph.
  • The story behind the dish, its significance, and its ability to engage the audience.
