Submissions are open and invited from Indian nationals for the Essay Writing Competition by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

About the Competiton

Under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi has announced to mark December 26 as Veer Baal Diwas, a tribute to the memory of Guru Gobind Singh’s sons for their supreme sacrifice and bravery.

Aiming to boost public participation, the Ministry of Culture is organizing an essay writing competition aimed at introducing children to the historical acts of courage and patriotism of Sahibzaades and inspiring them.

Theme

The Martyrdom of the brave sons of Guru Govind Singh Ji.

How to Submit?

Interested candidates can submit their essay here on the above-mentioned theme in English, Hindi, Punjabi language within a limit of 500 words.

Prizes

  • Selected 3 winners shall be awarded a cash prize of Rs 10,000, Rs 8,000 & Rs 5,000 respectively.
  • The selection of winners shall be based on the write-up submitted by the User.
