About the Olympiad
The International Space Olympiad is a global quiz competition focused on space science and technology. Every year, with the goal of exciting and encouraging skills in the disciplines of space science and technology, as well as increasing children’s aptitude.
Eligibility Criteria
Students in Grades 5-12 from all over the world can compete in the International Space Olympiad 2024.
Categories
- Junior Category: Grades 5-7.
- Senior Category: Grades 8-10.
- Super Senior Category: Grades 11-12.
Levels
The International Space Olympiad has three online exam levels: preliminary, intermediate, and final. Candidates who qualify for the initial round may proceed to the next levels.

Registration Fee
Registration Fee (Preliminary Level): INR 500 + tax.
Important Instructions
This exam is entirely online and can be taken from anywhere using a computer, laptop, or smartphone with an internet connection, following the instructions below.
- Each candidate will be assigned a specific time slot for examination, which will be published on the website 3 days prior to the date of examination, and they must be present at that moment. Failure to appear in the allotted time slot will result in cancellation of their candidature and no refund will be initiated.
- You will have 10 minutes to complete all 30 multiple-choice questions on the syllabus that will be asked of you in the test.
- For each correct answer, you will receive 1 mark, and for each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
- The online exam has no user ID or password. Instead, the examiner will contact candidates at their registered phone number to guide them and provide the online login details at the time of the exam.
- Candidates must have a web camera (or a device with an inbuilt camera) and earphones for the exam.
- The online exam is secure and closely monitored, with live video and audio capture to prevent any malpractice.
