NTA (National Testing Agency) invites online Applications for the National Common Entrance Test [NCET] 2023 for admission to 4 Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP)-Reg.
The National Testing Agency has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) and inviting Online Applications of the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) for admission to 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) in selected Central/State University/Institutions including IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Government Colleges for the Academic Session 2023 24.
National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducted the National Common Entrance Test [NCET]- 2023 in 178 Cities and in 13 mediums across India in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for the Academic Session 2023-24.
In total, there will be 160 questions to be attempted. The examination will be conducted on multiple days in two shifts, depending on the number of Candidates and Subject choices.
Medium of Examination
Medium of the Question Papers: Drawing from the National Education Policy (NEP), the NCET 2023 will be conducted in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
Syllabus
- Language: Language to be tested through Reading Comprehension, Literary Aptitude, and Vocabulary.
- Domain Subject: As per Class 12 syllabus only.
- General Test: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning, Logical and Analytical Reasoning.
Scheme of Examination

Section 1 (Languages) | There are 33 different languages. Any two languages need to be chosen. Language 1 and Language 2. | There will be 20 questions in Language 1 and Language 2 separately. All questions will be compulsory. |
Section 2 (Domain-Specific Subjects) | There are 26 Domains specific subjects being offered under this section. A candidate may choose any three subjects as desired by the applicable University/ Universities/ Institution. | 03 Domain Specific subjects are to be chosen. Each Domain specific subject will have 25 questions. All questions will be compulsory. |
Section 3 (General Test) | This is a mandatory part. | The General Test will have 25 questions. All questions will be compulsory. |
