About YLAC

Founded in 2016, Young Leaders for Active Citizenship (YLAC) aims to increase the participation of young people in the policymaking process and build their capacity to lead change.

Program Overview

The High School Achievers program is a one-of-a-kind summer program designed to help young adults become active agents of change in society. It is a unique opportunity for students in grades 9th to 12th to broaden their perspective, build critical thinking skills, interact with thought leaders from diverse backgrounds and hone their leadership potential.

This year, the program will be run in three cities: Bengaluru (May), Delhi (June) and Mumbai (June).

Eligibility

If you are studying in grades 9th to 12th and are no more than 18 years of age, you are eligible to apply. Students who are moving into class 9th or those who have just completed their class 12th exams are also eligible.

Selection Criteria

There are no prerequisites as such. Students are selected on the basis of their responses to the questions in a short application form.

Duration

The overall duration of the program is one week.

Fees & Scholarships

Rs. 25,000 per participant (excluding GST @18%).

Scholarship amounts will range between 25% and 100% of the total program fee.
