How did you apply to this School?
My parents admitted me to this school.
What are some of the good things about the faculty of your School?
- Qualified and dedicated: The school faculty has some real calibre to offer. They are well qualified for their respective fields.
- They have the zeal and enthusiasm to teach. They want to make students learn.
- Communication skills: The communication skill of the teachers here is quite good. When I was new here, they guided me well.
- Teacher as a best friend: You can find a sweet teacher with whom you would want to share everything. I also have a few teachers who were so close to me.
- Work ethics: It is so important that the teacher doesn’t mix his/her personal preferences in the workspace. This is well exhibited by most of the teachers.
What are some of the bad things about the faculty of your School?
I have several things to convey:
- Promoting private tuition classes: This has been troubling me as I move further to higher classes.
- Personal experience: In class 10, there is a lot of study pressure. Our Maths teacher used to give private tuition classes. And there was a huge difference between the syllabus of tuition students and school students.
- Unhealthy relationship between teachers and students: There is a great chance that your relationship with your teacher might be disrupted. Because yes, some teachers can develop their grievances.
What are some of the good things about the infrastructure of your School?
- Building: The school is a two-storey building along with a single-storey building.
- Classroom: The classrooms are well-ventilated with appropriate lighting and fans.
- Playground: There is a huge playground for the students along with a different playground for smaller children. There are game equipment available.
- Assistance: There are assistants appointed to help small children use the washrooms.
- Other Facilities: Library, canteen, laboratories, uniform outlet, water coolers.
- Green environment: The school has a really beautiful ambience. It has lush greenery.
What are some of the bad things about the infrastructure of your School?
- Finishing: The school building has worn out and needs finishing. Even some classrooms had bad conditions.
- Technology outdated: The classrooms have e-learning kits but those are not in use.
- There are no art rooms or dance rooms.
- Electricity: There is a problem of frequent power cuts during school hours.
- There were less number of benches for students. It was sometimes tough to accommodate all the students.
What are some of the good things about the teacher-to-student ratio of your School?
The teacher-to-student ratio in this school is about 45 students to 1 teacher. Besides this ratio, the teacher does connect to every student. They might know their academic capabilities but they know how is that student! This ratio plays an important role since the teacher can connect well with the students if there are less number of students. The workload of teachers is not very well distributed.
What are some of the bad things about the teacher-to-student ratio of your School?
So, it is indeed very important to have well balanced teacher-to-student ratio. Here, I feel it needs to reduce the workload of teachers since about 45-50 students for a teacher is too much. This unbalanced teacher-to-student ratio doesn’t allow students to participate openly, voice their opinions and make their needs known to the teachers. Somewhere, the students standing on the other side of the spectrum get left behind.
What are some of the great initiatives/amenities offered in your School?
- Yoga: This school will make you do Yoga the first thing in the school. You will be doing meditation and some light yoga postures. I remember doing it every day, in the fresh morning in lush greenery
- Trip to Gurukul: Every year, the students are taken on a trip to Gurukul exposing students to the very nature of the Indian education system followed in previous times.
- Complaint Boxes: They have set up complaint boxes for the students to convey their opinions to the school administration.
- Sports: This school encourage sports activities a lot. There are numerous students winning awards and bagging medals.
What are the things you would have liked to change about your School if you could?
- Encouraging academic and co-curricular activities: I feel that this school does not provide opportunities to develop your skills other than sports at all. It needs to provide more opportunities to students to encourage olympiads, arts, dance etc.
- Access to the library: I am brutally honest here, they have the library only for the name. They do not allow students to enter the library.
- Fees: This school charges quite decent fees to provide quality education against it. They also have the procedure to humiliate students if they are not able to deposit fees.
- Scholarship: I wish that they provide scholarships to academically bright students especially economically backward students.
How likely are you to recommend this School to other students?
5 out of 10.
