About the Mission

Sant Nirankari Mission is a Nirankari spiritual organisation based in Delhi, India. It was founded in 1929 by Buta Singh. Mata Sudiksha, the daughter of Satguru Baba Hardev Singh, is the sixth spiritual head of the Mission since 17 July 2018.

Nirankari Mission had its formal beginning on 25 May 1929, the day when Avtar Singh met Buta Singh. In 1943, Baba Buta Singh passed on his position to Shenshah Baba Avtar Singh. Baba Avtar Singh moved to Delhi after partition, where the “Sant Nirankari Mission” was created in 1948 (in 1947). He was succeeded by his son Gurbachan Singh in 1962.

Scholarship Details

The Education Department of Sant Nirankari Mandal had been providing Scholarships to the meritorious students since 1993. We were honouring the brilliant students who had achieved excellence in their educational career, sports and cultural fields by offering them a one-time small honorarium to acknowledge their achievements. Though a substantial amount was being spent on this scheme by Sant Nirankari Mandal but it was not catering to the financial requirement of the needy students.

The Scholarship Scheme has been named as “BABA GURBACHAN SINGH SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME” from the Academic year 2015–16 and will supersede all previous Scholarship Schemes of Sant Nirankari Mandal.

This Scholarship Scheme is open to the promising and needy students securing not less than 60% marks in

  • Class X for pursuing Diploma in Engineering.
  • Class XII examination depending upon the course pursuing: B.A. & B.A. (Hons), B.Com & B.Com (Hons), B-Pharma, D-Pharma, B.Ed, D.El.Ed, B.Sc., Hotel Management, BBA, BCA, M.Com, M.Sc., M.A., MCA, Diploma/Degree or Training in any Sport, Instrumental Music/Vocal Music from a recognized Institution in India, etc. and wish to pursue higher study in India only.
  • The maximum ceiling of the benefit will be Rs. 50,000/- per year per student or the Tuition Fee/Annual Fee payable in each year, whichever is less.
  • This Scholarship Scheme is applicable for promising and needy persons pursuing any Diploma Course as regular from recognized institutions.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant should be a regular student of any recognized University/Educational Institution of India.
  • The applicant/applicant’s family should submit latest pay slips and I.T. Returns of all the earning family members or a family Income Certificate issued by the SDM or Tehsildar or BDO or any other officer authorized in this behalf by the Revenue Department indicating that the total annual income of the family is not more than Rs. 3.50 Lakhs.

How to Apply?

Duly filled-in application form with all requisite documents should be submitted to the Member Incharge, Education Department, Sant Nirankari Mandal on or before the closing date for submission of applications.
